Por Cristo Friends from Lubbock, Texas ably headed by Aileen Everett, Douglas Everett and Rachel conducted a "Dinner for Cause" fund raising to raise money to finance the construction of the proposed chapel in the Por Cristo Home for the Abandoned Elderly. The group has so far raised $ 7,000.00 and plans to conduct a bigger fund raising activity (to be tentatively held in a park) in September of this year.
Aside from this endeavor, our Por Cristo Friends from Texas have also pledged to send material things, technical and medical equipments like CCTV, LCD monitor, Lap Tops, school supplies and blood pressure apparatus to ensure personnel in the Center to deliver optimum programs and services to our forty-two (42) beneficiaries.
In behalf of the Bishop of Butuan (Chairman of the Board of Trustees), Rev. Fr. Dennis S. Prisco (Executive Director), staff/volunteers and the beneficiaries in the Center, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to our Por Cristo Friends from Lubbock, Texas!
it is nice if Por Cristo Foundation can have CCTV in all corner of the building.So that they will all know what is happening of the elders 24/7. for monitoring purposes.
